What is a Creator?
A Creator is an individual or a company (including sole traders and proprietorship) that registers an account on Gaynetwork.com and establishes a Studio to share content.
• An individual is classified as an amateur.
• A company is classified as a professional.
What is a Studio?
A Studio is a collection of videos managed by an amateur or professional Creator under a single name and displayed on a dedicated page (gaynetwork.com/mystudio). Creators appearing in their videos are encouraged to use their stage name as their studio name.
What are the differences between an amateur Creator and a professional Creator on GayNetwork?
• A professional manages their content through a business or microenterprise, whereas an amateur shares their content as a private individual.
• A professional issues an invoice upon receiving payment, while an amateur provides a simple earnings statement.
• A professional can share both their Productions and Collaborations, whereas an amateur Creator can only share Collaborations ( see definition in FAQ Videos).
Can the same video be shared by different Creators on the platform?
On GayNetwork, each video is unique and cannot be duplicated or shared by multiple Creators.
In the case of duplicates, the video is attributed to the Creator who submitted it for validation first.
For collaborations, no party is disadvantaged, as the revenue generated is automatically and equally shared among the Creators appearing in the video. Additionally, each collaboration is automatically included in the studio of each participating Creator.
What are the differences between a Production and a Collaboration (or Collab)?
• Production: A video created by a professional Creator who owns all associated rights.
• Collaboration: A video created by multiple amateur or professional Creators who appear voluntarily under a mutual agreement regarding rights.
To share a Production, a professional Creator must have signed authorization and proof of age for all Models appearing in the video.
To share a Collaboration, a Creator must tag the participating Creators on GayNetwork and share the generated earnings with them.
A Production generates 35% of its earnings for the Creator who shares it and owns the rights. A Collaboration generates 35% of its earnings for all participating Creators, with earnings automatically and equally distributed among them.
What does it mean to "tag" a Creator?
Tagging a Creator means notifying them of the sharing of a Collaboration in which they appear. When a Creator uploads a Collaboration, they must tag all participants to: (i) Share the earnings with them. (ii) Allow the tagged Creators to withdraw their consent for the Collaboration's distribution, if necessary.
What is the "Consent to Share Content in Which I Appear" agreement signed when opening an account?
By creating an account, an amateur Creator or the representative of a professional Creator agrees to the sharing of any content in which they appear on GayNetwork, whether they are the one sharing the content or another Creator is.
Consent for content shared by others is granted under the following conditions:
• Prior authorization for Productions shared by professional Creators.
• Notification on their account (in the "mystudio/mycollabs" section) for Collaborations shared by other Creators.
• Automatic and equal sharing of earnings generated by the Collaboration among participating Creators.
• The ability to withdraw consent for any Collaboration at any time.
Each Creator has the right to contest the publication or sale of content in which they appear. They can use the "Report Content" form available at the bottom of each page on GayNetwork sites. In case of disputes between Creators, Studio Presse is available to help resolve the issue.
Can a Creator withdraw consent for a notified Collaboration?
Yes, a Creator can withdraw consent for a Collaboration at any time by emailing
[email protected] or filling out the "Report Content" form at the bottom of any page.
• Once consent is withdrawn, the Collaboration is removed from the platform, and earnings distribution stops.
